The AEE is a unique interactive education experience designed to stir young people's imaginations and fuel their enthusiasm for science, mathematics and technology. As a Docent you will guide students through 4 hands-on workstations where students:
Training is provided; you do not need to be an expert to apply! Written curriculum and teaching guidelines are available for home study. Training includes observation sessions with experienced docents and staff and team-teaching prior to first solo teaching experience. Length of training varies according to experience and prior knowledge. Bi-monthly docent enhancement and training sessions provide unique opportunities to participate in presentations by NASA scientists and researchers and tour facilities no longer open to the general public. Class sessions meet at Ames Exploration Encounter twice a day Monday through Thursday and Friday mornings from 9:30 AM - 12 noon and 1 PM to 3:30PM.
